Keyberry Park Methodist Church

In August 1999 a three-manual George Wright, Allen digital organ was installed in the church. However, in 2004 the organ was changed for a four-manual version of the same model. Since the installation there have been some 40 concerts, most of them have been given by Mark Ireland who is the church organist. Some famous names have also given concerts such as Nigel Ogden, Trevor Bolshaw, Paul Roberts and Simon Gledhill. In 2001 the organ was recorded by Mark and a CD produced entitled 'Key West Tunes'. Copies are available (£10) from Mark. concerts provide the chance to hear real theatre organ music on one of the largest Allen digital organs in the country. The organ has 33 ranks of digitally sampled pipes, the sound being reproduced by 18 speakers. Unlike the more usual organ concerts put on by church organs, they feature show music, light opera, marches, waltzes and material composed for the theatre organ.
There is a video screen presentation given at all the concerts which allows the audience to see the console and the players finger work

This small church is the only theatre organ venue in the UK with an Allen Theatre Organ that runs a concert programme and it is therefore recommend that you pre book for a concert as seats cannot be assured when you pay at the door basis.
Refreshments are provided at the interval.
